WHOLives.org, an internationally-focused non-profit organization based in Utah. Their mission is to provide greater access to clean water, better health, and provide more opportunity for those who lack the financial means to achieve it on their own. Globus Relief has partnered with WHOLives.org since early 2010.  Every year during the month of May individual volunteer teams travel to Arusha, Tanzania in east Africa.

In April 2011, WHOLives.org approached Globus Relief with a needs list of medical supplies and equipment for Dr. Raza who is based in Arusha. Dr. Raza is a very passionate doctor who treats thousands of patients around the clock. He is well known for his kindness and sacrifice which is why WHOLives.org wanted to help him better serve his patients. In response to the need, Globus Relief recommended a Physician Kit designed to provide basic medical equipment for diagnosing common medical conditions, conveniently packaged in a durable ballistics nylon bag necessary for mobile outreach. The Globus Relief Physician Kit included, among other things:

•   Portable Interpretive EKG Machine

•   Fingertip Pulse Oximeter

•   Otoscope/Ophthalmoscope Set

•   Aneroid Sphygmomanometer Set

•   Stethoscope

•   Temple Touch Thermometer

“The Physician Kit delivered to Dr. Raza will profoundly affect many.  He needed a portable EKG machine to treat the Maasaii villages and the nomads who roam Tanzania and Kenya.  He desperately needed the improved medial (new) medical supplies in the kit”.  - Connie Harris WHOLives.org

“Not only are you helping me in my examinations and treating patients, but thousands of patients who will benefit from these more accurate treatments”.  -Dr. Raza, In-Field Physician, Arusha, Tanzania

Globus Relief values the efforts of dedicated physicians like Dr. Raza. We will continue to partner with WHOLives.org to provide medical resources for the people of Tanzania.
